Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
